When photographer Bryon Malik first discovered his love for photography in 1998, he likely had no idea just how far his natural talents would carry him. Now, nearly a decade later, he is considered one of the most formidable talents from the Bay Area; his work respected and celebrated by both critics and fans alike.
Hailing from a background in music (a talent nurtured in high school and beyond), Bryon Malik views composing the perfect song just as important as composing the perfect image, two feats he can easily accomplish. Heavily inspired by the late Gordon Parks, his unique and candid approach to his work has allowed him to capture the beauty and strength of a people and the sometimes raw emotion of humanity. With this notion, his artistic freedom stems from a desire to catch the spirit, soul and emotion and his subjects, always pushing the envelope just a little bit further.
